ABOUT
MIDWEST MAGICK

I’m Margaret, the creator of Midwest Magick. I’m a Pisces, a witch, and a neurodivergent creative who’s inspired by upcycling and turning trash into treasure. I started Midwest Magick in 2022 as a way to slow down and create a peaceful life for myself. The tools you find here are meant to inspire you to do the same. There’s a lot of magic in ordinary things if you’re willing to stop and look.

Come in, browse the store, drop me a line, find me on social and let’s be friends! I’m so glad you’re here.

Magic vs. Magick - what’s the difference?

Short answer - there isn’t one. Both are used here interchangeably, and you’re welcome to use whichever spelling you like.

What does “upcycled” mean?

An upcycled material is something that was headed to a garbage or recycling can but was instead salvaged to make something new. Many of the materials I use are upcycled and given new life.

Where do your upcycled materials come from?

The materials I use come from several sources, but there are 3 I predominantly use.
1) my local Buy Nothing group
2) Scraps KC - a local creative reuse center
3) Thrift and Secondhand stores

What does “handmade” mean?

It means that every item you buy is one of a kind, high quality, and made with love. Everything I sell here - I make myself from start to finish. From gathering the materials to assembling a finished product - it’s all done by hand, by me, in my home.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Absolutely, I do. Please contact me at MidwestMagick11@gmail.com to inquire about wholesale pricing and quantities.

I run a small business too. Want to trade?

YES. If you make/sell cool stuff too, send me a message and let’s make a trade and shout each other out on our various social media platforms. It’ll be fun and cool.
